Today, we turn the spotlight on our project to upgrade the infrastructure of science and sports laboratories for a prominent academic institution in the UAE.
Client: One of the top universities in Sharjah, UAE, offering a wide array of accredited graduate and undergraduate programs. The university boasts a diverse and distinguished faculty committed to academic excellence, state-of-the-art campus facilities, and an environment conducive to learning and growth.
Solution we offered: As a leading turnkey laboratory engineering solutions provider, LabSpace has supplied and installed a wide range of customised laboratory furnishings for their Science and Sports laboratories. In addition, we have also offered them resources and educational training with the assistance of Atlab, Centena’s education vertical.
Main scope of work:
- Designed as a Floor-Mounted LabSpace, each science lab provides a versatile environment for groundbreaking experiments and research endeavours.
- The labs stand out for their remarkable adaptability, versatility and flexible infrastructure that accommodates different equipment sizes and layouts for diverse experiments and projects.
- The laboratory furnishings include worktops, storage cabinets, TOF laboratory fittings, and polypropylene sinks to ensure optimal performance.
- The worktops were constructed using 16mm thick Trespa TopLab which stands out for its exceptional durability and chemical resistance, serving as a platform that fosters collaboration, fuels creativity, and nourishes scientific enquiry amongst students.
- The cabinets were crafted using 18mm thick high-pressure melamine laminated boiled waterproof plywood, providing a longer lifespan, increased durability, chemical resistance, easy maintenance, and high moisture resistance.
