Educational labs play a pivotal role in facilitating effective learning. They are the cornerstone of education, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Today, we take you through a project we implemented for one of the leading educational institutions in Dubai. The project involved upgrading the infrastructure of their educational labs with advanced laboratory furnishings to increase engagement and collaboration, facilitate hands-on learning experiences, and improve overall learning outcomes.
Client: One of the leading schools offering the IB curriculum in Dubai. The school offers world-class education with state-of-the-art infrastructure and has students and faculty from over 93 countries.
Solution we offered: LabSpace has supplied and installed a wide range of futuristic lab furniture for their educational labs along with fitout works and wall graphics. Apart from this, we have also offered them resources with the assistance of Atlab, our group, Centena’s educational vertical.
Main scope of work:
- The lab has been designed as a Cantilever and Heavy-Duty LabSpace.
- The Cantilever LabSpace, with its versatile C-shaped frame, offers easy access to the work area from the front and sides. It is highly customizable and ergonomic; with workstations that provide adjustable height, enhanced stability, and mobility.
- The Heavy-Duty LabSpace features robust frames that are directly screwed into the floor with attached cabinets that are securely mounted beneath the worktop. A harmonious blend of strength and practicality, it has an increased weight-bearing capacity whilst providing ample clearance for operations and easy cleaning.
- The worktop and cabinets were constructed using 18mm thick high-pressure melamine laminated boiled waterproof plywood that offers longevity and high resistance to moisture.
